Since the time he got famous, I think I only remember him covered in tattoos, but he has more face tattoo than ever before. He treated his body like his own personal canvas, however, inked images on his face, doesn’t have much to do with trends and cool aesthetics. As he revealed in an interview, he is very self-conscious about his looks.

“I’m an ugly-ass mother*cker,” he told to GQ cover story. He said,” [The face tattoos do] maybe come from a place of insecurity, to where I don’t like how I look, so I’m going to put something cool on there so I can look at myself and say, ‘You look cool, kid,’ and have a modicum of self-confidence, when it comes to my appearance.”

Despite nowadays, tattoos are getting more and more common and accepted, getting inked on the face is still a taboo, although even this is also changing rapidly by musicians such as Post Malone and Justin Bieber.

Post Malone tattoos are sick, he started to get an affection for tattoos, when he met Justin Bieber. Bieber set the tattoo blaze alight in Malone by telling him that tattoos don’t hurt much. Since then, Post Malone tattoos has increased to 60+.

In the below centre of each eye, he has “Always Tired”, in cursive script. Malone has explained this as, “I tried to do something that’s relatively the same length of letters. But I guess ‘always’ is more letters than ‘tired’…but I was tired, so I didn’t realize.”

Lil’ Peep Portrait

Lil Peep died in 2017, and after his sudden death, Malone got the portrait as a memorial to the musician. Malone said about his friend, “Peep died much too soon and never got the chance to fully influence the music industry”. Malone used this piece to honour the late musician.

Malone has portraits of seven of his favourite artists — Elvis Presley, Kurt Kobain, Dimebag Darrel, John Lennon, Stevie Ray Vaughan, George Harrison, and Bankroll Fresh — on seven of his fingers as inspiration.

Without them, he “wouldn’t be making music right now,” Malone told GQ.
