What is Casual Dress?
The first rule of casual dress is to not care of patterns, which means no rules. By this, I mean that, you can wear whatever you want as long as you consider that dress of yours a casual dress. There’s no right or wrong, or day or night casuals. Just watch out people, what they are wearing, take notes, do experiments. Many times, even I thought that I don’t have any new ideas to wear a casual, but I have found a to tackle this. Next time you go to pub on Saturday or Sunday night, check out the people what they are wearing. From different patterns to how they keep their shirts untucked and don’t be ashamed to check someone’s outfit, they are wearing to look great and you are just taking notes. There is nothing right or wrong, but to stand out in crowd, casual wear, will take some efforts.
There are countless of advice I can give you based on your outfit, but this article is about a general view point which will benefit everyone in small ways. Some may have all the rules followed or some may not even one, but hey there’s also something to grab on, okay? Some advice is similar for schooler goers or college students, in their 20s but wearing a formal suit with your friends is not okay.
So, what to rock in casual dress for men?
The trick is to wear the same clothes over time by making different outfits. A plain white t-shirt can be rocked with any colour of jeans or even khakis. Similarly, black jeans compliment any colour. So, just make sure your clothes have some contrast, don’t just pair anything up and say you look cool.
By casual wearing you can easily look very edgy, funky, stylish but don’t try it every time.
But with time these “HYPE BRANDS” , Gucci, Prada , Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, with these brands having history of 400 years all together has given rise to this fashion industry and dominating the whole world with there heavy price tags too.
The 3 key Rules for Casual Dress for men.
1.Pay Attention to Fit
If you are not a new user to my website, then you would probably know, in almost every article I write about how important is too have fitted clothes. This is very general rule, to all of the clothing style, “FIT IS THE KING”. If your clothes don’t fit you are fashionably unfit, period!
Yes, there are some times wearing over sized clothes is fun but not always.
First of all, fit will make you look slim and fit. Makes you more confident and the way you wear your outfit. Second, wearing fit, will tell a lot about yourself, you try to look better, you try to be professional.
2.Know What You’re Comfortable In
For casual wearing, being comfortable is a very wide word. In Business Casual you can’t be comfortable, but when we talk about casual dress for men, being comfortable can range from being in joggers, pyjamas or jeans. Depends what you are comfortable in. Just wear a plain t-shirt and a similar colour lower and you are good to go. Just try to be yourself.
3.Keep It Simple
You don’t need to wear a hype brand to make it casual. Just have a ton of plain t-shirts, blue black denims nothing to funky, if you don’t want to be too flashy. It doesn’t matter, its casual dress, you don’t have to look professional, just be perfect in what you are wearing.
Just don’t wear unwashed clothes, torn clothes or colour fading clothes.
